I bought this book about 2 years ago when I was still in Alfred's Adult Book 1, and most of the material in this book was still beyond my abilities. But I had heard some of Dan Coates' other arrangements for popular songs and was very impressed with how he could come up with arrangements that sounded so good, but were fairly easy to get through. The Christmas songs in this book range in difficulty from late elementary to early-to-middle intermediate level. There is a nice selection of traditional and modern songs to choose from. If you've got a couple of years of piano under your belt, you'll be able to play the easier songs without too much trouble and you'll have a good time mastering some of the more challenging material as your ability increases. Fingering numbers are a big help in getting a handle on these songs. The arrangements make you sound like you really know how to play! I highly recommend this book!
