Reviews
I like this book. I like any music book by Dan Coates. I think I have them all. I had scanned the first page of 2 songs, not realizing I cannot attach. It's video reviews. Oh well. This book is probably for intermediate piano players. I wanted something that had pretty songs, and yet made me feel like I was playing like a pianist. Ha. I played back when I was young, I'm now 61, and am trying to learn to play chords with left hand instead of the old way. I found many of these songs I was able to do that. Chords with left hand, melody with right. Was hoping to give you a couple examples. I wish piano selling books would let you see the inside of what the music is like before you buy. But if you are a fan of Dan Coates you will know you can manage them. Not if you are a beginner though. this has many songs I really like. "As time Goes by" "Breakaway" (Kelly Clarkson, my favorite singer), "Earth Angel" "Open Arms" "How Do I Live" "Need you Now (Lady Antebellum)" "You Raise Me Up" "Because of You, Kelly Clarkson" "Celebrate me Home", "The Greatest Love", "Desperado", Misty", "the Notebook" ---- there are so many good songs, but I cannot remember if they are listed when you buy the book, so I thought I would list a few. the only fault, as usual, is why they don't make spiral binders. This book keeps closing on me playing. I have to put things on the right and left, and then when you have to turn a page, duh, a break in the song. highly recommend any books by Dan Coates, and I highly recommend Amazon. The only place I buy anything from. Never a problem. Packaging good. Delivery quick.
